Dr. Mehulkumar Dave is a distinguished Neuro-Psychotherapist with expertise in multiple areas, including Counselling, Organizational Behavior, Training, and Psychological Testing & Assessment. With dual master’s degrees—M.Sc. in Organizational Psychology and M.A. in Counselling Psychology—he also holds postgraduate qualifications in English Literature and Comparative Indian Literature from Mumbai and Delhi University, respectively.
His vast experience spans across working with prominent NGOs, and collaborating with top psychologists, psychiatrists, neurologists, and social workers in Mumbai and Delhi. Dr. Dave has provided invaluable counsel to juvenile delinquents at Prayas Juvenile Justice Home, as well as to children in shelter homes across Delhi. He has also conducted specialized training for over 5,000 CBSE teachers across India, customizing workshops to meet the unique needs of both educators and corporate clients. Dr. Dave’s approach is rooted in aligning established procedures with the specific needs of individuals, ensuring impactful and personalized results.
As the Founder and Managing Director of Mind Care and Management Associates Pvt. Ltd.—based in Mumbai and Delhi—Dr. Dave leads a pioneering company that specializes in Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) therapeutic interventions for neuro-developmental and degenerative brain disorders. The company also offers comprehensive psychological counseling, assessments, and training services to educational institutions and corporate sectors.
Driven by a passion for research, Dr. Dave has explored the therapeutic potential of Indian Classical Instrumental Music on brain dysfunctions, including anxiety, stress, migraines, insomnia, depression, and memory disorders. His unique approach blends the power of Indian Classical Music with Hemoencephalography (HEG) Neurofeedback technology, a fusion pioneered by the Mind Care Team. Dr. Dave, a Gold Medalist in Santoor from Delhi University, has studied Indian Classical Vocal and Instrumental Music for over seven years, further enriching his understanding of its therapeutic benefits.
With a deep-rooted fascination for Neuroscience and Neuro-Psychology, Dr. Dave has dedicated the last decade to studying brain-related disorders. He has earned over 100 certifications from world-renowned institutions, including Stanford University, Georgia Tech University, the University of Melbourne, and Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Dave and his team are trailblazers in India, bringing Hemoencephalography (HEG) Neurofeedback and EEG-based brain training technology to the country.
His groundbreaking research culminated in a Ph.D. from Shri Govind Guru University, with a thesis titled “The Efficacy of Hemoencephalography (HEG) Neurofeedback as an Intervention to Reduce Anxiety and Stress Among Corporate Employees.”
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Dave has shared his expertise through weekly columns, chronicling successful case studies on Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, insomnia, aphasia, brain hemorrhage, Down syndrome, and more, in the Janmabhoomi Pravasi (Mumbai edition) during 2017-18.
Dr. Dave strongly believes that the Indian society lacks awareness of the significance of psychological therapies, neuroscience, and technology-based interventions. As a result, many individuals are unable to benefit from non-invasive, side-effect-free treatments. He is committed to raising awareness in India and other developing countries, where mental health disciplines are often underrecognized.
